Kingfisher Lakes

Kingfisher Lakes is a collection of three lakes set in 17 acres of private woodland and fields supported by a well equipped cabin and wildlife rich local countryside. We currently have one lake open for fishing supported by another lake which is currently under construction and should be ready for fishing in 2026. There is also a stock pond which will be used to bring on our own hand picked carp.

The main lake is around 2.5 acres and is fed by various underground springs which ensures a constant level as well as excellent water quality and temperature all year round. The lake bed is made up of sandy stone with patches of clay, our grass carp ensure we have very little weed in the main lake.

The lake varies between 1m – 5m in depth and shallows out around some of the margins providing a shelf where the carp like to cruise. Several old trees around the lake provide good cover without impeding the fishing while natural contours in the bank provide ideal features to fish from any of the lake’s five double swims.

The lake was stocked in 2010 with nearly 700lb of Mirror and Common Carp up to 40lbs, adding to its already impressive stock. 2025 now sees us sporting a very good head of pristine Carp, Grass Carp, Perch, Roach, Tench and a few decent sized pike. The Current lake record in 2019 was a lovely 64lb mirror carp.
